The following are the most requested documents from the Assessor’s Office. All other documents are in alphabetical order by topic.

Veterans must file their Original DD214 with the Town Clerk’s Office by September 30th to be eligible for Veteran’s Exemption on the next July tax bill.
If you have a crumbling concrete foundation, contact the assessor at 860-487-4403 to discuss assessment reductions under PA 16-45.

Motor Vehicles

If you dispose of a vehicle you must provide a Plate Receipt from the CT DMV AND documentation of the disposal. See Motor Vehicle Credit Proof Required below for detailed instructions.

As of 1/1/2021, credits will be available only for those vehicles on the 2019 and 2020 Grand Lists – click MV Credit Application Period.

December 21, 2017 – Referendum to be held at Knowlton Memorial Hall, 25 Pompey Hollow Rd – Noon until 8 P.M.

The referendum for Regional School District #19’s budget will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Voting for eligible Ashford voters will be from 6 A.M. until 8 P.M. at Knowlton Memorial Hall, 25 Pompey Hollow Rd (Rte 44), Ashford. Absentee ballots are available in the Town Clerk’s Office. – **REGION 19 BUDGET PASSED IN ALL THREE MEMBER TOWNS**
