Tax Collector’s Office
The Tax Collector’s Office is responsible for collecting the municipal taxes on real estate, personal property, and motor vehicles in order to provide revenue for the programs deemed necessary and /or desirable to operate the Town. These taxes become due and payable on July 1 and Jan. 1. Interest is calculated and collected on all accounts past due on Aug. 1 and Feb. 1. Liens are filed on all unpaid current real estate taxes in the spring.
