Motor Vehicle Tax Bills Delayed-

Due to the uncertainty concerning possible legislation which could result in a change to the uniform state-wide motor vehicle mill rate, the mailing of the motor vehicle tax bills will be delayed until such time as final legislation is adopted by the State of Connecticut.

As soon as information is available, including the date that the motor vehicle bills will be mailed and the due date of the bills, that information will be posted on the Town of Ashford home page and also made available by the message on the Tax Collector’s phone messaging at: (860) 487-4411.

As mandated by Connecticut General Statutes 12-146, you will have a one-month grace period from the established due date to pay the bill without interest.

The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed all TUESDAY’S in the month of October

The Assessor’s Office will open at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

The Land Use Office will be closed for daytime hours on Wednesday, October 25th, but will have regular evening hours from 7 PM until 9 PM.
